I have been a recreational therapist for 8 years at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance in New York City, primarily working with individuals who have had a stroke, spinal cord injury, limb loss, traumatic brain injury, cancer, and other conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I received my Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and my Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in Developmental Disabilities from CUNY Lehman College.
As a writer for the Roots Of Loneliness Project, I'd love to share resources on accessibility and non-traditional paths, personal stories, and experiences with anyone who is struggling with loneliness or their mental health.
When I'm not working, I play the piano and draw, I enjoy learning about aquaponics, different types of plants, the beautiful concept of hygge, eating different cuisines, and enjoying newlywed life with my husband.
