Oh I've spent more than that on a game! My brother and I recently "finished" a game called Elden Ring, and clocked in at over 300 hours! Yeah really...

We were like WTF!? That's about 2 months of FULL TIME work at 8 hours per day! Crazy...but true!

But again, since it was time we spent together doing "Stuff" it was ok with me although towards the end, we were both pretty over it and ready to move on.

Yeah, that length of time, it's almost like you're playing through only to reach the end. I can imagine that was a slog lol. I love a long game, but DAI is probably the longest I've played, and my limit I think. I'm about 50 hours in on my current game and just got into act two.

The Yulexmas tree is still up (for now) and I swear I go through this thing every winter where I love being cozy in the living room with the holiday lights on, and just playing my game at night after everyone is asleep. It's my winter downtime mode, I think.

Or reading. I do sometimes just read on my kindle in the same setting.

Oh, that does sound super cozy and nice!

I always fear that I'll get too cozy, and leave some of the responsibilities of life behind! LOL...

That's usually why I keep the game days/nights and/or movie/TV watching to strictly 1-2 days per week max...the rest of the time I'm usually buried in other tasks or hobbies or work stuff that keeps me from really even thinking about taking that laziness too far!

I did notice that a lot of people had the Xmas trees in the garbage this week -- must be the deadline for the garbage trucks to take them without problems, but it was sorta final and has me looking forward to spring!

Hah! Yeah, I can understand that. I think it's good to leave some of the responsibilities of life behind every day, though, at least for a little while. That's why I do it late at night. By that point, my work day is done, my obligations to anyone but myself are done, and I'm too tired to write that late most of the time, anyway. So it's either TV, reading, or a game. But at some point at the end of the day, I take veg time for myself. Every single day.

I do enough during the day (and evening/night), and even on the weekends. Like this past weekend, all I did was cleaning (entire third and first floors), errands, organization, taking down xmas stuff... So if I want to play my game from 1 to 3am, I don't feel guilty about it for a second lol.

Our tree is down too. :/ It's at the curb, and our deadline is coming up as well. I think we have until the end of January but it gets picked up on trash day and I wanted a buffer in case it didn't get picked up this week for some reason.

The outside lights are all still up though! And my little decorative tree in the living room is going to get treated to some lights very soon... lol. (All of our lights in the living room are 100% programmable LEDs and I can just like... change the colors whenever I want to in the app. But I need more. I need colorful strings lol.)

Oh nice! I tell people all the time they should leave their lights on all year round! LOL -- why not? I think it ads some character and fun anytime of the year really.

Sadly, it looks like another year is about to start flying by again -- here we are almost 3/4 of the way through January...like what? Really?

I always say: Time flies anyway, so you might as well be doing things you enjoy!

I think it'd be great if people would leave their lights up all year round, or at least all through the winter to make it seem a little "warmer". Especially since it's dark earlier, sort of like fighting the darkeness with light lol.

It's hard to believe it's almost February already. Christmas has come and gone and Valentine's day is right around the corner. (Ugh. Not a fan of that one I can tell you that. Although the clearance chocolate on February 15th is nice.)

LOL -- don't get me started on Valentine's day! oh boy...

It's probably the 2nd-most-forced, Hallmark in-your-face, you-better-do-this, holiday after Christmas.

                Yucky....
